Yazan Nasrallah

is an Associate Lecturer and PhD researcher at Goldsmiths, University of London, working at the intersection of visual culture, media philosophy, and creative technology. With a background in Architecture (BA, 2018) and Digital Visual Effects (MSc, 2021), he brings an interdisciplinary perspective to critical questions surrounding ethics, politics, and affect.

His doctoral research explores the digital image – how it acts upon bodies, shapes identities, and mobilises affect within broader systems of power and control. Working through practice-based methods, his recent work with AI diffusion models investigates alternative modes of seeing that prioritise sensation over representation, opening new possibilities for ethical and affective engagements with the digital image.

Alongside his academic work, Yazan leads initiatives across the cultural and creative sectors, working with partners across education, charity and civic organisations to advance socially engaged practice and strengthen the role of the arts in public and community life.

In 2026, Nasrallah was appointed an Affiliate at Cambridge Digital Humanities. In 2025, he was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCert HE).
